Match Play: Golf’s mano-a-mano

Tiger is back ! I must have heard this ten times yesterday as he made a triumphant return to competitive golf at the Accenture World Match Play.

I love match play. It is the only time in golf where it is truly mano-a-mano. In most other sports like tennis, boxing, ufc, basketball, and football athletes play against one competitor. Competitive golf is usually played by score against par, called medal play. In medal tournament ..read more

“Aim small, miss small” is one of my favorite movie quotes from the film The Patriot. It is certainly a key principle for success on the golf course and in life. I’d take it one step further and propose “Aim Small. Win Big.”

Golf in the Kingdom (of Swaziland)
