How to speak Golf

Several weeks ago I received a comment to create a golf terminology page or at least a place for those of you new to the game to learn how to speak the language.

But please contribute your favorite golf speak in the comments section below.

Here are a few to get us started…..

Bomb -outrageously long drive

Bite- stop

Frozen Rope- very straight shot (I hit that 7 iron on a frozen rope.)

Baloon- a shot caught up in the wind that goes too high, usually landing well short
